Trendy...Or Tacky?

There are always trends that are rocked by certain individuals that look flawless. Then you throw on that jean-studded vest and catch a glance of yourself walking by a mirror and realize your look is more “hillbilly” than “rock star”. I am a strong believer in dressing for your body… HELLO Mariah Carey (love you darling, you’re the definition of DIVA) but some choices have me questioning who you hired on your style squad.

Let’s face it we have ALL fallen victim to bad fashion trends we thought rocked at the time. Turns out, 5 years later during the routine Facebook creep you may have some slight untagging of yourself in those furry pom-pom boots that were "tres-chic"!

All I am saying is the new fashion trend that seems to be catching like wild fire in the accessory scene is something I might have to raise my eyebrow at.

Who started this fingertip ring trend? I’m thinking this was more of a “this ring doesn’t fit but I am going to wear it anyway” start to this trend.

I have rings I had when I was a little girl that wouldn’t get over my knuckle.. I keep them in my jewelry box where they belong!

Would you wear your teeny-bopper jean mini-skirt which was the oh so popular item in my high school days (complete with flip flops and legwarmers) even though it only fit your left thigh?...

So fashion lovers, I ask is this newest ring fad; Trendy or Tacky?

Peace, Love, & Karma.

xoxo

Artist...Song of The Week

Artist of the Week! (or Song of the week)

Hello Fashion, Music, and Entertainment Lovers,

I apologize for my lack of posting, I have been out of the country for a few weeks but I am back and ready to share my latest love for music.

What is better than an amazing book turned into a movie?  An amazing book turned into a movie with a tear bursting, heart beating, and obsession creating song from their soundtrack.

Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift featuring The Civil Wars has been on repeat serenading me through my iTunes since I discovered this lovely melodic piece of music.

If anyone has not yet read the devastatingly delicious trilogy by the creative and remarkable Suzanne Collins, this released song off the movie sound track will have you sprinting to your local Barnes and Noble grabbing a cup of coffee and curling up on your couch to dive into this novel head first.

By now I am sure most of you have at least heard of this novel with star-crossed lovers from District 12, if you are insanely addicted to creativity and envisioning the passion between these characters this song will illustrate the relationship beautifully.

Upon my first listen to the song I was utterly shocked to find out it was Taylor Swift lending her vocals to this song, so a HUGE hats off to The Civil Wars for warping her rather complaining voice and making this sweet music that captures the rhythmic sound of The Civil Wars and the flawless lust behind the pages of The Hunger Games.

Safe and Sound has really set the tone for the upcoming movie and in a shameless plug (Sorry for my obsession, it could be worse!) for The Hunger Games, everyone should check out the trailer for the Movie on YouTube! Coming to a silver screen near you in March!

Peace, Love, & Karma.

Xoxo
